ATEX

ATEX

  • Working in hazardous environments where atmospheres have flammable gases, dust or vapours present unique requirements for how we can ensure safety while using electronics which may be necessary for carrying out work.
  • Designing and manufacturing electronics for hazardous environments requires us to meet crucial safety standards in order to protect people, the environment and your investments.
  • ATEX certification guarantees that a product will not overheat or spark even if faulty, preventing dangerous outcomes in explosive atmospheres. They will withstand specific environmental conditions. And that all materials are fully traceable and specifically selected for the right job.

What jobs we can do for the customer:

  • We’ve been producing ATEX (& IECEx) certified products since 1970, it’s hard to come by that much experience! With experience designing and manufacturing intrinsically safe products across all three zones of atmosphere, we can cater to any of your needs:
    • Zone 0: Where hazards are present continuously and will frequently occur.
    • Zone 1: Hazards are likely during operations and may occur.
    • Zone 2: Hazards are unlikely, but still possible for short periods.
  • We perform regular, unscheduled audits with our trusted suppliers to ensure only the highest quality, conforming components are used for our customers. On top of this, we provide full traceability for every component used in development.
  • Conformal coating and encapsulation (potting) services are handled onsite to prevent sensitive electronics from failing under stress. We also perform rigorous testing to your standards to guarantee the product you receive is up to your expectations. We work with appointed bodies to officially obtain an ATEX certification, reducing your workload.
  • We already provide complete, fully certified solutions across many sectors where ATEX needs to be accounted for:
    • Oil & Gas (Link through to sector page)
    • Security (Link through to sector page)
    • Aerospace & Defence (Link through to sector page)
